Conditions of participation for the social media campaign:

“Check in to Berlin, Become our Young Germany Reporter (#citberlin)”

Participants in the project “Check in to Berlin, Become our Young Germany Reporter (#citberlin)” must be at least 18 years old. The application period runs from March 1 to 31, 2016. Images, videos and short portrait texts of the applicants will be published on www.young-germany.de and www.facebook.com/young-germany.

Following the application phase, a jury will select the Young Germany Reporter. The jury consists of representatives of the German Federal Foreign Office and Frankfurter Societäts-Medien GmbH. The winner will be chosen in accordance with predefined selection criteria.

The selection criteria are: A convincing application, originality in at least two of the three project challenges. We are looking for someone who is open, extroverted, positive, active. Talent for writing, blogging. Photography and video skills. Someone active on social media. Available full time from April 12 – 17. Good knowledge of English and ideally also German. Minimum age 18.

All applicants’ text, audio and video files will be published in the context of the project.

Frankfurter Societäts-Medien GmbH and the Federal Foreign Office will arrange return flights to Berlin, as well as accommodation and board in the city. The winner is obliged through their participation to work on the Young Germany editorial team in Berlin from April 12 to 17 and to relay his/her experiences and impressions of the event “Menschen Bewegen” on the website www.young-germany.de, including photos and videos. All text, image and video rights to the material produced in the context of the project “Check in to Berlin, Become our Young Germany Reporter (#citberlin)” shall be held by Frankfurter Societäts-Medien GmbH and the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin. A cash payment to the value of the trip is not available. Neither is it possible to move the dates of the trip.

To be able to inform the winning candidate of their success, we require some personal data, which is requested in the application process. After you have filled in this form it will be emailed to us automatically.

Data is saved for the realization of the project “Check in to Berlin, Become our Young Germany Reporter (#citberlin)” only. The winner’s name and place of residence will be published on the websitewww.young-germany.de.

The judges’ decision is final.

 

Employees, and their relatives, of Frankfurter Societäts-Medien GmbH and its partner companies as well as the Federal Foreign Office are excluded from participation.
